Full Description Luxor Day Trip from Marsa Alam:
*Visit the Great Valley of the Kings
We will pick you up from your Hotel in Marsa alam by Air conditioned van. Then, after about 4 Hours you will arrive at the great historical city, which has over 1/3 monuments of world history. Later on, you will meet there the Egyptology guide, who will take you to the first spot the Valley of the kings. The valley stands on the west bank of the Nile, the valley contains 63 tombs and chambers.
Wonder at the impressive Colossi of Memnon
Following the Luxor trip, we will move then to another fabulous Colossi of Memnon. The twin statues depict Amenhotep III in a seated position, a massive construct built during the pharaoh’s lifetime. There he was worshipped as a god-on-earth both before and after his departure from this world.
Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut
Later on, enjoy your tasty lunch at the restaurant. Then, have a break and move to another part of Luxor Trip – to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut’s. Its funerary architecture, it both aggrandizes the pharaoh and includes sanctuaries to honor the gods relevant to her afterlife.
Karnak Temple
Finally, we will head to the huge Karnak Temple dates back to about 2055 BC to around AD 100. It was built as a cult temple and dedicated to the gods Amun, Mut, and Khonsu.
